Training

We offer private and semi-private training, small group personal training, web (online) training and individualized in-home training plans.

Group Classes

We offer a variety of small group personal training sessions and fitness classes to bring fun, accountability, and variety to your training routine. Our groups are never boring! The format and structure is different from one day to the next to keep your body getting stronger and to ensure that you have fun while working out!

Nutrition & Wellness Programs

Nutrition is a critical component to any fitness program. At Drive, we provide a complete package of services to ensure you have success. Nutrition counseling sessions are available to provide education and guidance on the healthy eating to support your lifestyle and fitness goals. Drive also offers wellness counseling sessions as well, with a behavior change specialist for those who are looking for that added layer of accountability to help take them to the next level with their health and wellness goals.

John Hockenberry



Fitness has been my life since the time I was in school playing sports and training for football.  Through my personal life experiences, I have learned discipline, dedication, and the training approach needed to achieve success.  I don’t subscribe to the “norm” and won’t tell you the same stuff that you can read in ten different fitness magazines.  I will teach you the approach needed to make this fitness thing last a lifetime.  I help my clients develop tools to build their own toolbox of tips and behaviors that work for them in the real world.

Not everyone is a fitness professional, nor wants to be; however, we all want to achieve a healthier lifestyle so that we can enjoy more time with loved ones, play with our kids, be active without experiencing pain that prevents us from doing the things we want to do.  I want to work with you and give you real techniques that will work for your busy schedule that will allow you to achieve the healthiest and happiest version of yourself.

Helping others has been a passion of mine since I was a teenager.  I pursued a career path of being a mental health counselor with my dream of working with others to have meaningful impact in their lives.  During the course of my career, I fell in love with fitness and nutrition and began pursuing education in these two areas to gain the necessary certifications that would further help me achieve my goal of having impact in the lives of others.  With a backgound in mental health counseling, fitness, nutrition, and behavioral analyzing and coaching, my approach to training is well rounded, to say the least.   My clients have described me as “demonstrating that I truly care” about their needs and goals; as “being the most passionate person they have ever met” with my enthusiasm and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle through active fitness training and a healthy nutrition plan.  I love what I do, and demonstrate through my personal lifestyle the values, beliefs, and behaviors that I educate my clients in to help lead them to a healthier lifestyle.

I have experience helping clients meet their individual goals in the following areas:  weight loss, lean muscle building, overall body composition transformation, injury rehabilitation and recovery, training for figure and bodybuilding competitions, and overall improvement in health and wellness. My training regimens include a variety of techniques based in functional training, strength training and conditioning, cardiovascular conditioning, and core conditioning and are supplemented with nutritional counseling and guidelines.  All training programs are tailored to meet the individual needs of clients and goals are realistic and achievable based on current lifestyle and interests.
